I can’t say enough about how great Doc Potters has been.  Over the past 10 years Stephen Dougherty has done 4 renovation jobs for us.  He has exceeded my expectations every time. He comes when he says he’s coming.  He does what he promises.  The work is superb.  His crew is pleasant, respectful and clean up after themselves.  These are skilled craftsmen. His pricing is very fair.  I have developed such a level of trust in him and his work that I no longer bother getting competing bids.  Once we were forced to go out of town while they were finishing up work on 2 bathrooms.  I had no qualms leaving my keys with him while we were gone.  When we got back, the job was beautifully completed.  He goes out of his way to be accommodating and to explain things if he finds an unexpected problem.  I’ve never had any surprises with lack of communication or having the crew disappear to go work on another job in the middle of our renovation – the kind of contractor problems I’ve heard about from friends of mine. In fact, Stephen goes the extra mile.  One summer afternoon – a couple years after he had last worked for us – we had a pipe burst in our cellar on a Sunday and we called him for a recommendation on a plumber. To be clear – he had never worked on that part of the house.  He jumped in his truck and drove from Malvern to Media and spent a couple of hours including a trip to Home Depot and fixed the pipe.  As I recall, he balked at taking money for doing the work.  He’s a good guy and a true pro.  It doesn’t get better than this.

We are very pleased with the work Doc Potters did in our home. Over the last five years he’s completed four projects for us. A complete new master bathroom, replaced all of our windows and doors and replaced all the support beams in the basement that were termite damaged. They also replaced the roof. Every job they did exceeded our expectations and the prices were more than competitive and done in a timely manner. We would definitely recommend him to all of our friends and neighbors if they need any work done.

Doc Potters added a completely custom bath, kitchenette and bedroom in my basement making an efficiency apartment. Stephen and his crew completely surpassed my expectations fitting everything I wanted into such a small space without cutting corners. The professionalism of this crew is hands down the best I have ever had the pleasure of having in my home. They also put in a custom flood wall across the front of my house and blended it into the porch pillars so it looks like it has always been there. Mike installed custom shelving in my pantry giving me so much more organizational space to fit the food it takes to feed a family of five! I am so thankful I was introduced to this amazing contractor. I wish there was a way to attach pictures of their beautiful work. My only complaint… they wouldn’t let me pay for the extra electrical outlet I asked them to put in!!! I’ll never call another builder again!!! Thank you Doc Potters!!!

We just finished our master bathroom remodel with Doc Potters.  Steve and his staff did an excellent job and it came out just as we had envisioned during the planning process.  His bids and explanations are thorough and straight forward.  There were no surprises and no additional costs added on without our input and consent.  They treated our home with great respect and were very clean and organized through the whole process.  

I would, and fully expect, to hire Doc Potters again for future renovations to our home and will recommend them to any friends looking to take on a renovation of any size.

My family has been working with Doc since we moved into our townhouse in 2006.  The problem with Contractors in general these days is it’s difficult to get a company out for what they consider ‘smaller’ jobs.  Doc has been willing to work with us on various projects throughout the years.  He has always kept us well informed and up to speed on whatever job he is working.

Doc Potters did three bathrooms, a kitchen, a deck system, and patio pavers. His attention to detail was much higher than our expectations. During the job Doc found out that his mother had cancer and although he appeared very distraught he was still at the job everyday. Two of our engineer friends, while visiting, said that his crew’s work was exceptional. We have recommended them to three of our friends and they thanked us profusely. All stated that the quality was exceptional.
